A few months ago, when I started blogging, I would have never guessed that i could get paid to blog. I knew that you can display advertising on your blog, and wait for visitors to click on your ads, to bring you revenue. Yet i didnt know about PPP. Since then, I found out that you can write about things you find worth talking about and get paid for that. There are a few sites which offer such services for bloggers. So i signed up for a few of them, and until today, PayPerPost was the one which proved to be the best, in terms of available opportunities and ease of choosing what to write about.

It may take up to 25 days until you actually get paid, but at least you know that you are going to get that money. Because of the rule imposed by PayPerPost to have at least one regular blog post between two paid ones, I find myself motivated to post more often, and this translates in more readers and bigger traffic for my blog. I find myself wondering what to do with all the money i have been making. The first thing im going to do is add hardware like ram, to my computer . Then after i max my computer out, im going to start several other blogs and do the same thing with them. So that i have extra money to pay bills like rent and my car payment with. If it wasnt for blog ethics then i wouldn’t keep blogging, mainly because i don’t have the time to sit around and write when i could be at my job working a little bit longer everyday to pay off my car and house payments.

Karsten Nohl a University of Virginia graduate student and two of his friends have cracked Smart card Encryption. The Program that protects millions of smart-phone users accost the globe.

Using readily available equipment (under $1000.00) 26 year old Karsten Nohl and his 2 hacking friends reverse engineered the chip. Then using a cryptographic formula they deciphered the code. It only took them hours the first time and they said they could do it in a matter of minets now. Meaning they could hack anyone with a smart phone and steal all its contents in minets.

Nohl and his colleagues found that it was fairly easy to crack the RFID chip’s code. They are not releasing the details of how they beat the chip’s security code. But are saying anyone with some time could do it.

male vs female

What would it take to get you give up your office network password to a total stranger? A ridiculous amount of money? Maybe a box of chocolate? Well if your a woman from London, then your more likely to hand over your password than a man for one of those things.

Recently there was a survey conducted among 576 office workers contacted outside the Liverpool Street Station in London.
The results are in and heres what it has to say:
64 percent of people surveyed said were prepared to give away their passwords for a chocolate bar.
21 percent of those questioned would give up their password
with 45 percent of women saying yes versus 10 percent of men

The report is conducted as part of the media campaign that precedes the annual Infosecurity Europe security conference, which takes place next week at the Grand Hall, Olympia, London, and runs from April 22 to 24, 2008.

Apple Inc.’s FileVault for the Mac, Windows Vista’s BitLocker, and many other encryption tool can be hacked by a cold-boot attack. Your data persistence in DRAM modules can be accessed by cold-booting.

Mac’s FileVault, Vista’s BitLocker, and other well-known encryption tools can be hacked by any attacker with a can of compressed air and a little alone time with your computer. Next, they move onto your Data!

While a computer is running, data and the encryption keys used by full-disk encryption systems are held in dynamic random-access memory. Meaning that it is also present even with the computer turned off. So with the correct software, an attacker can come in moments after the computer is turned off, in sleep mode, or even at a password protected screen saver and spray your DRAM modules( that are still holding information). Then proceed to steal a copy of everything on your DRAM modules.

The best way to protect your self is to turn your computer off 5 or so minets before you leave the room. Also, DON’T LEAVE LAPTOPS unattended ever! Unless they are in a secure location.

Remembering that this type of hacking is highly unlikely because of the challenges of and advanced methods. Like stealing RFID data, cracking keys, and freezing chips. You really don’t have to worry about this. Yet for my fellow security freeks out there, i thought id let you in on this info.

If you could play Xbox 360 with Wii like controller would you? If your answer is yes then your in for a big surprise! Microsoft X-box 360 team has just announced plans to make a controller that is like Wii’s controller. Yet with a few new add-ons. The new controller will have all of the same functions that the Wii remote has but the 360s version will have for face buttons, a analog stick, and a microphone for taunting your competition. Also the controller is rumored to interact with Xbox Live Camera!

In addition to designing the interface for the controller, Rare, the Microsoft-owned studio is also working on duplicating Nintendo’s Mii avatars so that they can have their own Microsoft’s Miis.

The new Microsoft’s Miis are being designed to be associated with any game that incorporates the controller, yet they want to keep a standard look to the game. These new avatars will not be tied to the controller when in use like the Xbox Live current profiles are. Despite development delays, Microsoft hopes to have the new controller out by the end of the year.

AT&T and Verizon Wireless have made reviled new plans to broaden the range of wireless by producing a 700-MHz spectrum by 2010. Now that TV broadcasters are not useing the 22-MHz spectrum Verizon bought the rights to it. Making the nationwide C block 700-MHz spectrum and verizons already existing network capable of reaching all the way accost the United States.

‘New Wave’ of Devices and Apps.

Earlier in the week, AT&T — which is also adopting LTE as its fourth-generation technology — said it had spent $6.6 billion on B-block licenses. AT&T says its 4G network will also be running in 2010. The combination of “national, contiguous, same-frequency C-block footprint and our transition to LTE (Long Term Evolution) will spur development of a ‘new wave’ of consumer electronics and applications
Verizon and AT&T chose LTE because “it is the least painful way to make a transition from their existing networks to this newer and faster network architecture, and they believe it is the best way to deliver 3G/4G data speeds to their customers in the future. By doing this it should allow them to deliver as much as 100 megabytes of data over time, which would be a huge increase over their current 2-3-megabyte speeds

AMD has delivered the first triple core processors for desktop PCs. When paired with the AMD 780 series chipset, the Phenom X3 processor has an unbelevable viewing experience with support for the latest formats, including VC-1, MPEG-2 and H.264, on a mainstream PC with processed information faster then ever. The Phenom X3 8000 series triple-core processor targets PC gamers and digital-media enthusiasts. The processor promises improved multithreaded application performance over dual-core processors at the same clock speed.

AMD Phenom triple-core processors can also increase performance for multitasking usage models and multithreaded applications, aligned with similar benefits available with AMD Phenom X4 quad-core processors, the company said.

AMD will be collaborating with ZT Systems to premiere the first system featuring the new AMD Phenom X3 triple-core processor on QVC during the Computer Shop broadcast, which is scheduled to air March 31 at 10 p.m. EDT. Systems powered by AMD Phenom X3 processors 8400 and 8600 are expected to be initially available from leading OEMs and system builders.
